My Friend's problem: Baby's size and feeding methods.

Hello,everyone.
I have a friend whose son is now 2.5 months old.
Her son was 3.37kg when born.He was 5kg when 2 months old.
She told me that she was advised to feed the baby with formula as her baby is smaller in size compared with other baby boys of the same age.

I wonder why the assistant would give this kinda advice.
I invited my friend to visit this website and hope she would know more about the benefits of breastfeeding and continue it.

She also asked me a question : Isn't that breastfeeding babies should be heavier in weight than those who aren't?("人奶B唔係應該肥D咩")

I've alreadi told her that I would ask questions in this discussion plateform and hope she could read and know more.

Just like her, my baby girl is now almost five months old.She's a SGA baby.She was only 2.37 kg when born.She's now 5.57 Kg but still is small size baby.But the doctor emphasized the benefits of breastfeeding despite that my baby had jaundice for the first two months.

It's quite tiring to continue breastfeeding sometimes but thanks for this website that has provided me with advice and encouragement.

I hope my friend could benefit from this website also.
